Holding My Own

I just want one little wish.
But it will take a whole life-time to get.
I say want.
Nay, but need.
Three words to complete me.
Alas no sound is spoke and here I'm alone.

Beauty

More than the sparkling stars,
That smile glistens.
More than the wind in the trees,
How you move me.
More than all of nature.
You alone express,
Beauty.

Grasp

A heavy hand will result in crushing.
A soft grip will cause a slip.
Equal pressure is the desire;
However, unattainable with these measures.

True Blood

What is said of family
But differences of kin.
Opposing views are brought.
No one listens to him.
Their ideas are always better
All the time their right.

Groups are more a family
Then those together born.
They hold the same thought,
And listen to'r brother's mourn.
Tis true ideas differ,
But none of them are wrong.

My Heart Beats to the Cadence of the Waves

Like the beach longs for high tide.
The waves to lap upon the coarse sand
And make it walkable again.

Birth of A Forest

The initial hello of two strangers.
Followed by thoughts of something above.
Logic swallowed, and emotion's danger.
Results in what could be love.
The first is shock of finding
But then turmoil seems unending.
It's like a tree who needs wind,
For it's roots to be strengthened.
Thus, closer we grow.

Lead By Lead

Pen to paper
Is the flow of thought.
Write to know
The things you do not.
Complete understanding
Of the unknown.
Swiftly learning
All skills to hone.

The Rhythmic Story of the Kelp Below

Trying to steal that pearl from your mouth.
But as your name says, you shut me out.
I then get tossed in the undercurrent.
You offer not a hand, but a laugh.
I drift alone thinking of what I can.
I the seahorse, and you the clam.

Rainy Afternooon

Tears are hidden behind the rain.
The water streams past a lonely face.
Like a key to a locked case,
Is your face and the look of pain.
I offer to stop the rain with a cover.
You refuse and say I must deal with this lover.

Questions

Did we fall or did you trip me?
Is a slowing needed for understanding?
Isn't possible to be in a whirlwind and know where you're heading?
Will this change the place we land?
Is that the truth, this is too much for you?
Why isn't this easier to know or express?
Do you feel one way and say another?
Just to keep me at arm's length?
Enough to keep tight; running no where and not wanting to?
